Letters to God, soccer, Phyllis Tickle and rain in Australia

A shopping bag containing hundreds of prayer letters has been found in the surf off Atlantic City NJ. Read the news bulletin. I'll be writing more about this story on my PrayerWorld blog. For today, please pray for all the individuals who wrote these prayers, that they might receive the peace that comes from knowing that God has heard their prayers and loves them deeply. Pray also for Bill Lacovara, who found the letters.
Also today, please pray for soccer players, coaches and fans.

Phyllis Tickle, author of The Night Offices: Prayers for the hours from sunset to sunrise led a retreat for 100 men and women at St. John's retreat center in Plymouth, Michigan, last week. Read the story in the Detroit Free Press. Today, pray for Phyllis' ministry, for those who attended the retreat, and pray that we, too, might deepen our discipline of prayer.
In Australia, Rev. Fred Nile is calling for a national day of prayer beginning on Nov. 26 for the drought they are experiencing. ABC News Online has a brief announcement. Today, pray for the people of Australia, and pray that they will receive the rain they need.
